Some celebrities show it, some hide it, but the truth is, everyone is going grey. What the celebrities need to understand is that they would be welcomed into the grey community with open arms, if they just flaunted it a little. This list is a homage to those who are not afraid to let their grey hair show.

Number 10 - Gary Lineker

The current Match of the day host, and formerly one of England's greatest ever strikers has grey sides, which in my opinion, is enough to earn him a top ten place.

Number 9 - Richard Gere
He is so proud of his grey locks, he lets it grown, meaning even more grey locks. I salute you, Gere.

Number 8 - Harold Bishop and Lou Carpenter
These two have a place together as I just couldn't decide between them. They both offer equal amounts to the grey community. By the way, in case you were wandering, they are two Australian actors who both starred in hit soap opera 'Neighbours'.

Number 7 - Harrison Ford

Indiana Jones and Han Solo. Thats how cool this man is. His grey hair only furthers his already established coolness.

Number 6 - Des Lynam
The second person on my list who has hosted match of the day. Must be something they put in the water down at the match of the day studios. I hope Alan Shearer is next. Thats if he has any hair left, of course.

Number 5 - Ben Stiller
He tries to hide it, but we all know hes grey. He dies his hairs for his movies, but when hes just being 'Ben Stiller', he lets the grey hair out.

Number 4 - Morgan Freeman
He has lovely, curly grey hair, accompanied with a lovely, curly grey goatee, which earns him double points. He's a good actor too.

Number 3 - David Ginola
The French ex-footballer, who used to play for Newcastle and Tottenham retired when he was in the process of going grey. He has since been on tv, and my god, there isn't a single black hair left. He is also the sexiest man alive who also happens to be my favorite ever football player. I love you Daveeeed.

If you watch him in a film from the 1980's, for example 'Planes, trains and automobiles', (below) he has a full head of grey hair. Healey had an aptitude for political put-downs. Few could forget his verdict that being criticised by Geoffrey Howe was “like being savaged by a dead sheep”. Howe's retort came years later, when Healey congratulated him on being made Foreign Secretary. Howe told the Commons that this was “like being nuzzled by an old ram”. Not nearly so rude, but probably not meant to be.

The young Conservative MP made a lifelong enemy of Margaret Thatcher when he decided to end the relationship with her daughter Carol. Mrs Thatcher called him "the man who made Carol cry". Surely the most elegant insult. Delivered in the commons debate regarding the Profumo affair, which was a political scandal named after secretary of state for war John Profumo, involving a showgirl whom was reputedly the mistress of a Russian spy, forcing the minister to resign.

She has been known for her ‘fist’ gesture with newly elected husband President Barack Obama. She is also the first African American First Lady, and ‘the rock’ of Obama’s campaign. There are countless lists regarding the best footballers in the world, so to be a little different, I thought I would complie a list of the top ten left footed footballers, a dying breed in football. The list is of current players, so dont expect any hungarians from the 1930's to pop up that you would never have heard of!

Number 10 - Petr Cech

The Czech goalkeeper, currently keeping goal for Chelsea is one of the greatest keepers in the world. The fact he is left footed may well have bypassed many of you, as we quite rarely take any notice of which foot the keeper is using. But, just so you know, hes a lefty.

Number 9 - Patrice Evra
One of many gifted French full backs, Evra is the cream of the crop. He doesnt score many goals, but he is part of a back five which helped Manchester United win the league and champions league double last season.

Number 8 - Adriano
Adriano has made the list based more on his past than his current status in football. He was a fantastic player ans scored some abosolute belters with his left food. Having overcome a drug addiction and a fondness for women, Adriano is back in the Inter Milan side, working hard under Jose Mourinho.

Number 7 - Ryan Giggs
He may not be the player he once was, but you cant have a top ten list of left footed players and not have Giggsy in it. He has won more trophies than I have had hot dinners. And he is the most humble footballer there is. Its just a shame he didnt ever put his left foot to use for England!

Number 6 - Ashley Cole
Having undergone a tricky couple of years in his career having moved from Arsenal to Chelsea, he finally seems to be showing us all what he can do. In his Arsenal prime, there was no doubt that Ashley Cole was the best left back in world football.

Number 5 - Iker Casillas
The second goalkeeper in the list, Casillas has kept goal for Real Madrid for almost a decade, and the Spanish number one is up there with Buffon as the greatest keeper in the world. I had no idea he was left-footed until I did my research for this list.

Only in the past week Raul's record of scoring the most champions league goals of all time was equalled by Pippo Inzaghi. Still playing first team for Real Madrid, the Spanish hero has been a pivotol member of the left footed club for years now.

Number 3 - Esteban Cambiasso
Why on earth did Real Madrid let him go. The Argentine defensive midfielder has blossomed since his move to Inter Milan and under Mourinho he has shown his class. A rare sight to see a left footed center midfielder, but Cambiasso is a unique player, combining intelligence and strength to help him become one of the worlds greatest midfielders.

Number 2 - David Silva
There is no suprise in why Manchester United offered over 20million for the Valencia star over the summer. Silva was immense in Spains glory at the european championships, and is currently the best left sided player in the world.

Number 1 - Lionel Messi
Not only is Messi the best left footed player in the world, he is the best footballer in the world full stop. The little argentine can use both of his feet, but his preferred foot is definately his left. He plays on the right side, and uses his left foot to good effect as he cuts inwards and dazzles the opposition defence.

Messi with a superb goal against Getafe, which he only goes and scores with his right foot!

Number 10 - 'It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside-down'

When looking back at my life of crime, I don't think I can claim this cheeky number on my list. What is interesting, is that the punishment for treason in Britain is death. So does this mean that if you decide to turn a stamp upside down, you are signing your own death warrant.

Number 9 - 'It is illegal to smoke Marijuana'

Being a liberal student with little morals, I often involve myself in a little 'spliffy' session. After 30 minutes or so, there is no way i would leave the room, let alone go down to a local pub and start a fight with a 'Jean Claude Van Damme' lookalike/bodylike, which i may find myself attempting to do if i was drinking Stella Artois. I would prefer to watch a film and try playing the guitar. Now tell me whats wrong with that.

Number 8 - 'In Japan there is no age of consent'

This law for me is definately the most serious. I have never really considered the Japenese to be perverts, but this has me thinking otherwise. I could come up with various sadistic jokes involving sweets for favours, but that goes way beyond my low moral standards. Perhaps the Japenese government should take a serious look at this legislation.

Number 7 - 'In Vermont, women must obtain written permission from their husbands to wear false teeth'

Now we all know how women should obtain permission from their husbands over any issue, but this is beyond ridiculous. A women looks better with teeth, full stop, and whether there false or not, it should be their decision to have them.

Number 6 - 'In the city of York, it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow'

I wonder what would happen if somebody had a massive argument with a Scotsman, brutally killed him, then proceeded to go and find a bow and arrow, plant it on the scotsman, and stick one of the arrows in his own leg? I mean we all want to see the Scots fail, but to be able to legally murder them, perhaps a step to far?

Number 5 - 'In Indonesia, the penalty for masturbation is decapitation'

The first thing that comes to my mind is, which part of the body gets decapitated? In Indonesia if you steal something then you get your hand cut off... This begs the question if your caught with your genitals out then goodbye happy families. I also wonder if this law is in place for females aswell?

Number 4 - 'In Ohio, it is against state law to get a fish drunk'

To be fair I have never thought about trying this cheeky law breaking act, mainly because I have never been to Ohio. But I can't logistically think how you could go about getting a fish drunk? Do you put the fish in a glass of beer, or a dangle it on the surface of a vodka lemonade? Whatever you choose to do, good luck, because i can't imagine you would ever be able to tell if the fish was actually drunk.

Number 3 - 'In Switzerland, a man may not relieve himself standing up after 10pm'

This law makes me think ergonomics. The different ways you can contorte yourself in order to excrete; And such a specific time. What happened at 10pm in Swiss history, that they found the need to create such a legislation, and how could they possibly enforce this law when a male is in the privacy of their own home. Perhaps the females in the households have a special number they phone in order to scare their male companions into relieving themselves upside-down.

Number 2 - 'In Scotland, if someone knocks on your door and requires the use of your toilet, you must let them enter'

A truly beautiful loophole in the legal system. If a man was standing outside your house in Scotland explaining that he wanted to come in and thieve every worldly possession you owned, you would bolt your door and tell him where to go. Then you see him silently ponder, and eventually orate the dreadful sentence, 'I need to use your toilet,' you by law would have to let him into your home. Obviously it would be illegal for him to steal anything from your home, but your giving him a great head start.

Number 1 - 'It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament'

This is by far my favourite law. How could you ever enforce this? For example, say an MP gets impaled on something sharp in parliament (I believe there are a lot of sharp objects in the Houses of Parliament) would they have to cut down the object and carry the MP outside before he could receive treatment? Plus can you get a criminal record after you die and would this affect the funeral process. In a sadistic way I would love to see how this law plays out.

Number 10 - Cricket: England Vs West Indies 1994

Calling in at number 10 on our list is the England cricket team for 1994 match against the West Indies. We needed only 194 to beat the West Indies, and somehow fell to 46 all out in less than 20 overs. Now that's what I call "doing a Devon Loch" (See number 8).

Number 9 - Snooker World Championship: Jimmy White

Jimmy White's quest for snooker's world championship held the hopes of the nation in 1990s. Six times he reached the final without winning! The latter saw him painfully miss a black while leading the final frame against Stephen Hendry in 1994. Hendry, aged 25, then went on the receive the Championship title. Ouch!

Number 8 - 1956 Grand National: Queen Mothers Horse Fell 45m Short of Winning Line

Devon Loch, the famous owned racehorse of the late HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queens Mother, fell just 45m from the finish when he jumped unexplainably and then slipped falling to the ground and with it, any hopes for winning the 1956 Grand National. It is said, although all this is speculation, that Loch had suffered a cramp in one of his hind legs, or that he was "spooked" (a common occurrence in horses) by a shadow on the ground which caused him to jump and subsequently fall. The metaphor: "to do a Devon Loch" is now commonly used to explain a last-minute failure in sport to complete an expected victory.

Number 7 - 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics: Alain Baxter stripped of Olympic medal for using a Vicks inhaler

Baxter made British Olympic history as the first Briton to win a medal (bronze) in alpine skiing. Which made it all the more harder to digest, when a few days later his title was stripped and his medal revoked as it was announced he had failed a drug test and would be disqualified from the competition. It was later confirmed that the trace of the performance enhancing drug, methamphetamine, originated from a Vicks inhaler bought in the United States. But it was too late and many felt he had "only himself to blame".

Number 6 - 1981 Formula One World Championship: Nigel Mansell

Mansell was set to win the title for the Australian Grand Prix of 1981, until his left-rear tyre exploded on the main straight with just 19 laps to go, spectacularly ending his race. Defeated, Mansell finished the season as runner-up to Alain Prost. His efforts didn't go unnoticed however, as he was later voted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year. Just goes to show sometimes you don't have to win them all!

Number 5 - 1998 World Cup: David Beckham Sent Off

England fans desperate for a win, and to celebrate a world cup not stuck in 1966 stared on in dismay as Beckham received a red card and was sent off for the second half. Many regard Beckham's red card as "sealing their fate" in losing another World Cup. Beckham said he cried ten minutes after he was sent off and received death threats as long as five years after. England's next chance for World Cup is 20__.

Number 4 - 2004 London Marathon: Paula Radcliffe

Radcliffe, favourite to win Gold in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, failed to complete the London Marathon, withdrawing at 36km due to exhaustion. Five days later she attempted to regai some dignity and started a 10,000m race, but failed to complete that too. The 2005 London Marathon, however, was an embarrassment of a different kind when Radcliffe famously got into a "wee spot of bother" as she made a televised toilet stop, mid-Marathon. Baffled fans watch as got back up and continued the race to finish with one of the fastest women's times in history. Paula Radcliffe, we salute you for you unique comeback!

Number 3 - Wimbledon 2001: Tim Henman

Henman's lack of success at winning any of the numerous Wembledon finals is almost a joke. 2001 was the biggest hopes-fall for Henman and England as he came achingly close to beating his opponent, Goran Ivanisevic, but the game was called on account of rain. Spirits were high the following day for a possible win for Henman, hopes and dreams were shattered, as his opponent tore him down.

Number - England's Failed Penalty Shoot-outs (Numerous)

This one has entered our chart as a collective effort from our England's football team for managing to cock-up so many penalty shoot-outs. Of the many heartbreaking, frustrating and it brings back 1990 Wembley, 1996, St Estienne, 1998 Lisbon and Gelsinkirchen 2006 with a pitfall show of inability to hit the ruddy ball straight.

Number 1 - The Deadliest Stadium-Related Disaster in British History

In 1989, a Liverpool Vs. Nottingham Forest match held at Hillsborough Stadium ended in Britons worst sport-related disaster as 96 lives were claimed as people were crushed to death in the stadium. The match, which ended six minutes into the first half, was over-crowded with 5,000 football supporters outside the ground pushing to get in. Police opened a set of gates as an exit but this resulted in thousands of fans rushing to get inside the stadium, crushing those at the other end of the stadium. 96 died, 766 injured with 300 being taken to hospital. This did, however, result in the conversion of several UK football stadiums to 'all-seater' with the removal of barriers at the front of stands.

We didn't think it was fitting to post material on the Hillsborough disaster and after a long list of England's defeats we thought we'd leave you on a emotional note of a different sort. Watch and enjoy!

10. Jimmy White – Jimmy White was the peoples champion and the workingman’s snooker player. White used to skip school to play snooker from the age of eight to go play snooker, where ten years later he became the youngest player to win the world amateur championships.

9. Dennis Taylor – Winner of the 1985 world championship, often regarded as the greatest final of all time. Taylor was the joker of the scene, known for his great sense of humour. But on the table, Taylor was one to watch out for.

8. Mark Williams – Two times welsh champion, once in 2000 and again in 2003, the Welsh wonder is well known for his single-ball potting style and has earned the nickname “The Welsh Potting Machine”. Williams has been ranked world number one three times in his career.

7. Ken Doherty – The only player to have become the world amatuar champion and world professional champion. Doherty is a master tactician, but is also a big scorer compiling 256 centuries to date, sixth on the all time list.

6. Alex Higgins - Higgins was world champion in both 1972 and 1982, but barely reached his full potential and failed to win more thanks to Davis and Reardon’s consistent form during the period.

5. John Higgins – In no way related to Alex Higgins, John has won 19 ranking tournaments to date and continues to play. Ranked number one in the world in 1998, 1999 and again in 2007, Higgins is part of a small group who has retained their top spot.

4. Steve Davis – Davis has more titles than any other player in the sport. He dominated the 80’s, being ranked world number one for seven years and amazingly he still plays to a high level today, although not having won a major trophy since 1997.

3. Ray Reardon – In his prime, Reardon dominated the 70’s and was the decades most successful player, winning six world championships. With an uncanny resemblance to Dracula, Reardon was the first world number one since the introduction of world rankings in 1976.

2. Stephen Hendry - Hendry is generally considered the greatest snooker player of all time. The youngest ever champion at 21, Hendry spent a record breaking eight consecutive years at the number one ranked player in the world, dominating the 90’s.

1. Ronnie O'Sullivan – Ronnie ‘The Rocket”(due to his speed around the table) O’Sullivan has to be the most elegant player of the game. With an awkward consistency, O’Sullivan’s love for the game can be sporadic, causing problems with his game and as a result winning on three world titles. Number 10 - Jorge campos-Pumas
Better known for his self-designed fluorescent jerseys than for his keeping. Skilled with the ball at his feet has a tendency to leave his box on a frequent basis and will even join the odd attack. He was ignored throught the World Cup qualifying under Aguirre, but had the last laugh when he got all his team mates to wear pink for his farewell match.

Number 9 - David James- Portsmouth
The much-maligned Portsmouth goalkeeper famed more for his clangers than for his saves. "Calamity" James is capable of brilliance as of clumsiness. His most recent gaffe ended Portsmouths' Uefa Cup journey.

Number 8 - Harald Schumacher - Fenerbahce SK
Although phenomenally talented, the German goalkeeper will be remembered as the guy who almost killed French defender Patrick Battiston during a collision in the 1982 world cup. While in mid-flight, during the collision, he oddly contorted his legs resulting in his buttocks actually making the first impact with Battiston ( that would have been the world's first death by buttocks right?)

Number 7 - Fabien Barthez- Manchester United
The clown prince of goalkeeping, at times eccentric genius others plain eccentric. The list of his recent antics includes hurting a team mate with a dangerous tackle in training and saying afterwards he had had fun, spitting at referee Abdellah El Achiri after verbally abusing him and punching a fan.

Number 6 - Jerzy Dudek-Liverpool
Dudek is the biggest sporting star in Poland. His bizarre, off-putting tactics during the penalty shootout, which led to Liverpool’s famous victory (known as ‘Dudek’s spaghetti legs’) was probably one of the most eccentric things ever witnessed at a major sporting event. Many were reminded of a similar trick performed by former Liverpool keeper Grobbelaar.

Another angry German. He was nicknamed " Genghis Kahn" after attacking Borussia Dortmund's striker Heiko Herrlich with a martial-arts move during a league game. During a press conference he was asked what he thought the team lacked; his reply, translated from German was: " Balls! Balls! We need balls, if you know what i mean?"

Number 2 - Bruce Grobbelaar- Liverpool
Performing a somersault for good measure after saving a ball, the daredevil one-handed collecting of a high ball or taking on strikers with a dribble close to his own goal are just some just some of the antics which afforded Grobbelaar cult status in English football, but for AS Roma fans he will always be the crazy goalkeeper who stole their champions league final with his wobbly legs.

Somehow getting in here above places such as London, Athens is a must include because of the acropolis. You just have to go and see the Parthenon, home of Athena herself! The Acropolis was formally proclaimed as the pre-eminent monument on the European Cultural Heritage list of monuments on 26 March 2007.

9. Sydney

Sun, Sea and Opera. These are the three words that spring to mind when I think of Sydney. The Sydney Opera House, was the reason Danish architect Jorn Utzon received the highest prize in architecture, the Pritzker Prize, in 2003. The Sydney Opera House has made Sydney an internationally recognisable city, covering postcards and desktop backgrounds across the world.

As Germany’s capital city, Berlin is thriving with great architectural monuments. Two in the design of a palm and the other in the design of a world map! How can they top this I hear you ask… simple, have rotating skyscraper and become home to David Fisher’s dynamic architecture. Just a little over the top to reach number one.

1. San Francisco

With more humble designs, San Francisco is this blogger’s favourite city for architecture. As an astronomically hilly place to live, the Francisconites built their houses to accommodate their obscure city by the sea. By fusing Victorian and modern architecture, San Francisco has created some of the most beautiful homes in the world. Famous building - The Museum of Modern Art was built in 1995 and has begun construction on a rooftop garden this year. The idea is that the outdoor garden will be a gallery without a ceiling and is expected to open in Spring 2009.

Number 10 - Larry Craig & Mens Toilets

Entwined with drugs and sex scandals is our man at number 9: Larry Craig. Allegations of cocaine use and sex with male teenage congressional pages came around in 1982. Craig, of course, denied all allegations. In addition a further eight gay men came forward to the press alleging to have had sexual encounters with Craig, to which the details were splashed across the national tabloids. Ironically, speaking about Bill Clinton's scandal with Monica Lewinsky, Craig had the cheek to say on NBC's Meet the Press news programme that Bill Clinton is a "bad boy" and "a naughty boy". Now this is just my opinion but this seems a little inappropriate. Craig was also caught getting up to some more sexual shenanigans, this time with an unknown man next to him in the toilets. That unknown man turned out to be an undercover police officer.

Number 9 - Lord Jeffrey Archer & Prostitute Allegations

The Tory candidate for the 1999 London mayor, Jeffrey Archer, was involved in prostitution allegations which later led to his conviction perjury. Archer had given former prostitute Monica Coghlan, £2,000 to leave the country and when she went to the press, Archer asking a friend to provide a false alibi. His career fell apart in speculator fashion as Coghlan's story was splashed across the tabloids and all Archer's dirty washing was out for the whole general public to see. Archer's incredible double standards put him in at number 8 on our 'Top 10' list.

Number 8 - "The Washingtonienne" - The Sex Blog Scandal

In 2004, Jessica Louise Cutler, assistant to Senator Michael DeWine, was named as the anonymous blogger of the "Washingtonienne" in which she told the most intimate details of her scandalous sex life at the White House. Not only did she expose she had been sleeping with several high-powered government officials, she had also accepted money for her time spent with them. She noted of how she had accepted $400 for sex from a George Bush appointee. Now I for one think $400 seems pretty cheap and correct me if I am wrong... but isn't prostitution illegal? Cutler was fired to which she responded by posing for playboy (a bit too raunchy for this blog I'm afraid) and sold her story on a book deal "The Washingtonienne: A Novel." Number 7 - "D.C Madam": Money Laundering & Prostitution

Deborah Palfrey, "D.C Madam", was accused of money laundering and prostitution. She had laundered an estimated two million dollars over 13 years, selling sex to Washington's rich and powerful. In 2007, one of her former escorts Brandy Britton, committed suicide by hanging. Palfrey coldly responded: "I guess I'm made of something that Brandy Britton wasn't made of." These words proved to be ironic, April 2008, she was found guilty, she took her own life by hanging herself.

Number 6 - Cash for Honours Scandal 2006

In 2006, the Cash for Honours scandal hit the news following the revelations about Dr. Patel and others who were recommended for peerages making political donations, the Treasurer of the party, Jack Dromey said he was not aware the party had secretly borrowed millions of pounds in 2005. It seems that Great Britains over-taxed payers' money just isn't enough for our greedy government.

Number 5 - Condit: Murder Suspect

There was much speculation over the D.C intern Chandra Levy of 2001. The 53-year-old politician had been having an affair with the 23-year-old intern but had denied the whole affair until Levy's aunt told police all about it. Although, Condit is not under police investigation, this was still a huge scandal for the politician who should have been more professional, more responsible than to get involved with the young girl.

Number 4 - David Kelly: "There Are No Weapons of Mass Destruction"

In 2003, David Kelly, an employee of UK's Ministry of Defense, expert in biological warfare and a former United Nation weapons inspector in Iraq, told Today Programme journalist Andrew Gilligan of the government's dossier on weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, causing a major political scandal. A few days later he was found dead. The Hutton Inquirey ruled that he had committed suicide, but for many this was just too much of a convenient coincidence.

Number 3 - Edwina Currie & John Majors Affair

In 2002, Edwina Currie revealed in her Curries Diaries book that she had had a four year long affair with John Major from 1987-1992. She revealed that he was the love of her life but also accused him of being "one of the most less competent prime ministers." Major was perhaps more criticised for his behaviour because of his Back to Basics agenda, focussed on steering away from the political sex scandals the English government found themselves squeezing out of so very often.

Number 2 - Paul Burrell & Royal Humiliation

In 2002, Paul Burrell, former Butler of the late Princess Diana, made allegations of homosexual rape within the Royal Households. Not only that, but Prince Charles was also at the heart of the cover-up which had gone on for years. Previous years had been a very dark period for the Royal Family with the speculation over a plot by the Royal Family to kill Princess Diana at the centre of their humiliation. Burrell's allegations added further damage to the Royal reputation with much of the public losing faith in their monarchy.

Number 1 - Bill Clinton: Monica Lewinsky Scandal

Bill Clinton's extra-marital affair with 22-year-old White House intern, Monica Lewinsky. The intern claimed a reported sexual encounters with Bill Clinton, to which Clinton famously responded: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Fast forward time and in televised statement that Clinton had an "improper physical relationship" with Lewinsky. He was fined $90,000 for giving false testimony and lost his title a president.

Number 10 - Barry Bonds - Baseball

The Major League Baseball outfielder is probably the most controversial figure in the sport. Like many naturally talented sports star, Bonds seems to find it hard to cope with the pressures of his adoring fans. He was embroiled in a scandal over the use of steroids in 2003, and his trainer Greg Anderson indicted by a federal jury for the distribtion of anabolic steroids to various players. As well as this he was also rumoured to have failed an amphetamines test, which he blamed on fellow players planting them in his drinks. A great role model for children, blame it on somebody else...

Number 9 - O.J Simpson - American Football
Many people wouldn't have realised that O.J used to be a sports star. He has figured so many times in the press, that he appears to be a serial law breaker. He was accused of cutting off his ex-wifes head along with killing her friend in 1994. Simpson was found not guilty, but many conspirators believe that Simpson was in fact as guilty as Judas was of stitching Jesus up. The 'trial of the century', as it was nicknamed, was just one of several convictions Simpson has faced. Theft, violence, drugs, the epitome of a bad sporting role model.

Number 8 - Lee Bowyer - Football

Still competing in the Premier League today, Bowyer has been at the centre of two charges of assault both on and off the field of play. The most famous case being an apparent 'racist' attack at a Leeds nightclub, which left Sarfraz Najeib, an Asian student with a broken leg, cheek and nose. Bowyer was found guilty and sentenced to 100 hours of community service. Then there was the fight Bowyer had with Kieron Dyer in front of 60 thousand fans at St James' park. A full on brawl which saw Bowyer suspended for the remainder of the season. The irony is that they were both on the same team. Ignorance may be the main explanation for his behaviour, but its clear that Bowyer isn't the best sporting role model.

Number 7 - Titus Bramble - Football
Titus Bramble is a bad role model for the right reasons. He's not in this list because of his rebellious nature, but because he is so useless on the football field, that no child should learn how to defend by watching him play. Numerous own goals, defensive blunders and lack of enthusiasm, Bramble makes this list for one simple reason, he is useless.

Number 6 - Diego Maradona - Football
The reasons for including Maradona in my top 10 may differ from the general opinion on the Argentinian legend. We've all heard the Cocaine, gang lord, sex fantasist stories coming out of Argentina, but that is what seems to happen to South American sporting legends. Maradona for me is a bad role model because he advocated cheating in order to ensure his teams progression. The 'Hand of God' is the defining example of cheating in football, If children followed Maradona's example, then we would see a mass movement of youngsters running around punching football's out of goalkeepers hands.

Number 5 - Paul Gascoigne - Football
One of my personal favourites. 'Gazza' is the definition of a reprobate, seemingly doomed to a life of hardship when he first set his feet on the grassy stage. Since retiring, Gascoigne has suffered from alcoholism and various legal issues. He was arrested for 'beating' his ex-wife, Sheryl, on a couple of occasions, and was recently caught trying to commit suicide in a hotel. Many believe that 'Gazzas' troubled childhood acted as a catalyst for his irratic behaviour, but you still wouldn't your children idolising him.

Number 4 - Shane Warne - Cricket
Universally acknowleged as the greatest spin bowler of all time (the ball of the century against England a prime example), Warne is widely attributed with being the biggest cricket rebel to have graced the game. Passing information on to bookmakers during the 94/95 ashes, charged with bringing the game into disrepute and testing positive for banned substances are just a few of the negative incidents he has been involved in. Arguably the most ridiculous incident has to be Warne being captured by sky television smoking a cigarette and drinking a beer during the 05 ashes, just before coming out to bat.

Number 3 - Joey Barton - Football
Barton is the youngest and most current addition to the list. The Newcastle midfielder has been branded a thug by the media and fellow proffessionals. In May 2007, Barton was fined £100,000 and banned for the remainder of the season when he attacked his former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo, which left him with a detached retina as well as severe facial bruising. Barton has also been very outspoken with the media about problems at previous clubs, criticising staff and players. As well as this Barton was caught on CCTV attacking a man in McDonalds with his brother, this case still hasnt been resolved. Number 2 - George Best - Football

For me, the greatest footballer that ever lived. He was a magician with the ball at his feet, the ball literally stuck to his boots as he maneuvered around hapless defenders. Unfortunately it became apparent that a pint of beer stuck to his hand just a little bit more. Best admitted to playing drunk numerous times for Manchester United, and lived a promicuous lifestyle off the pitch, fueled by his alcohol problem. Best passed away in 2005 due to liver failure and for me this is why he must be seen as a bad role model.

Number 1 - Ron Artest - Basketball

My number one choice by a country mile. Not so well known outside of the U.S, this NBA star has been involved in countless incidents on and off the basketball court. Artest was the main protagonist in what is known as the most infamous brawl in basketball history. Not only did he instigate the mass fight between players from the Indiana Pacers and the Detroit Pistons, he then proceeded to take the fight into the crowd, causing a riot between spectators, coaches and players. Artest was banned for a year for his primary role in the incident. Artest has also turned up to training drunk in a bath robe, along with being arrested for domestic abuse and animal cruelty. A bad role model? I would go as far to say... Never let your child speak his name.

Number 10 - Argentina - Isenbeck - "Ballet" (2004)

This cheeky chappy has managed to think up the perfect scam for a man. I think everyone can think of a guy who is like this or wishes he could get into a situation like this, what man wouldn't? Apart from the ballet shoes I should imagine. This comical sequence makes for a very memorable commercial for the Isenbeck Beer.

Number 9 - Italy - Moretti Zero Beer - "The Coach" (2000)

Moretti Zero Beer has cleverly and comically created a commercial which shows a seemingly drunk man coming home to his girlfriend after what seems like a heavy night out and manages to still get what he wants.

Number 8 - Japan - Gyunyu - Kiss (2007)

This is very cute, almost reminiscent of the UK's Yellow Pages adverts in the late 1990s, although somewhat less charming. This advert shows a boy trying to kiss a giant girl, you know, as you do.

Number 7 - Norway - Statoil - "Bad Morning" (2004)

The Norwegian oil company used comedy to promote their "free coffee for a year giveaway". They show a businessman in the early hours deicing his car vigorously for a long length of time and then realises he's made a terrible mistake. Take a look at this video and I'm sure you feel the same gut-wrenching feeling I had.

Number 6 - New York City - Folgers - "Hey, City That Never Sleeps, Wake Up"

The company used viral marketing to promoted its coffee in a completely unique way. They used prints of cups of Folgers to stick onto New Yorks Manholes; as the manholes produced steam they brought the imagery to life as a cup of hot coffee. Brilliant, effective and yet simple marketing.

Number 5 - Turkey - Isbank - "Pay Your Traffic Tickets Online" Billboard

This billboard creates the illusion that a police car is "hiding" behind their billboard on the highway; a typical tactic employed by Turkish police to catch speeding drivers. By doing this they managed to dupe drivers to slower down as they approach, allowing more attention to be paid for their actual advert.

Number 4 - Canada- 3M Security Glass - "Money Filled Structures" (2005)

So confident about their product they put real money inside a 3M security glass modified bus stand for doubtful passersby to attempt breaking the glass. All who tried, of course, failed at breaking the 3M Security Glass modified stand and getting their hands on the money even with weaponry aids .

Number 3 - England - Thorntons - "Edible Chocolate Billboard" (2007)

On April 3, 2007, Thorntons made the first ever edible chocolate billboard which they displayed in Covent Garden. Talk about good enough to eat, this billboard came in at a whopping 14.5ft by 9.5ft contained 10 chocolate bunnies, 72 giant chocolate eggs, 128chocolate panels. View more digital images here.

Number 2 - Germany - PostBank - "Funny Money" (2006)

Funny on several levels, this commercial again uses comedy to wit-fully promote the need for the financial help of their bank. It seems money is no object for the sugar-daddy in the commercial as his "girlfriend" reels off the lists of things she wishes to purchased, to which he quite willingly agrees to without a batter of an eyelid.

Number 1 - Belgium - Zazoo Condoms - "Use Condoms" (2005)

Voted funniest European commercial in 2005 and I have to agree with this title its still truly hilarious when I watch it again and again. The adverts gains much comic mileage by depicting the all too familiar scenes of a tantrum screaming child in a supermarket, to execute their message, "use condoms", in a very clear and effective way.
